We’re excited to introduce JCA Remington Steele, affectionately called Remy — a striking dun bull calf born at 1:15 AM on May 22, 2025. This calf is extra special to us — he’s the very first dun bull ever born here at JCA Highlands! While we’ve welcomed many dun heifers over the years, Remy marks a meaningful milestone in our breeding program.
His dam, Rock Hill Raven, is a first-time mom and did a fantastic job. Remy’s coat is truly exceptional — thick, wavy, and already showing the rich, even dun coloring we love. We’re eager to watch this handsome bull mature.
Remy has tremendous genetics behind him. His maternal grandmother, RW Duchess, is a proven impact dam, and Raven’s sire is a half-brother to Finley Falls Duncan, who earned Champion Bull honors at over 10 shows, including back-to-back wins at the NWSS in Denver.
His sire will be confirmed via DNA testing and will be either FTH Tobermory or FTH Smoky Scot, both highly respected bulls with strong pedigrees. Once confirmed, Remy will be AHCA registered and, as always, DNA verified for parentage.
