Rock Hill Raven – Highland Cow
Born April 12, 2021 at Rock Hill Highlands, Oklahoma
ROCK HILL RAVEN Pedigree and AHCA Registration Information
Rock Hill Raven brings both beauty and personality to our herd at JCA Highlands. As our first black Highland, Raven stands out in the pasture with her striking color, elegant presence, and eye-catching conformation. She is truly breathtaking — though capturing a good photo of her is a challenge, as she insists on being right in your pocket looking for range cubes the moment you enter the field!
Raven is full of personality — playful, curious, and always wanting to see what you’re doing. She closely resembles her gorgeous dam and carries those same feminine features and strong structure that we love. We feel incredibly fortunate to have her here, as she not only adds color diversity to our herd but also brings excellent genetics and outstanding conformation.
In Spring 2025, Raven delivered her first calf — a beautiful dun bull — and handled her first calving like a seasoned pro. We are so excited to watch both her and her calf develop, as we expect great things from this young cow.
Genetic Information:
Raven has tested NEGATIVE for the Myostatin NT-821 Deletion gene, supporting her structural soundness and breeding potential.
Raven is planned to be bred to either FTH Tobermory (“Toby”) or H-L Duke (“Duke”) for her next calf, expected in Spring 2026. We anticipate another exceptional addition to our Highland program from this pairing.
With her unique color, playful spirit, and solid genetic foundation, Raven represents the future of quality at JCA Highlands.
